Why Sterling Nutrition Supports Charity : Water

We believe in a world where everyone has access to clean water. Join us.

The water crisis is massive. But together, we can solve it. Join The Spring, our community of monthly givers, to bring clean and safe water to families around the world every single month.

OUR WORK

785 million people lack basic access to clean and safe drinking water. We’re on a mission to change that.

We believe that sustainable work is locally-led. Along with implementing community-owned water projects, our local partners help facilitate comprehensive water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programming to protect everyone’s long-term health.

785 million people in the world live without clean water.1

That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide or ten times the population of the UK. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.

But access to clean water means education, income and health – especially for women and children.

Charity: Water in the UK

Since 2006, charity: water has built a global community of over 1 million supporters around the world, many of whom call the UK their home. To provide a better experience to supporters on this side of the pond, we officially registered as a UK charity in 2016.

Because, with your help, we believe we can solve the global water crisis in our lifetime.
